The capital city of Perth is where Lucyna, Michal and Wlodek made their homes after the war.

Cunderdin

When Lucyna and Wlodek arrived in Australia, they were sent to live in a disused airfield barracks in Cunderdin.

Wittenoom was an asbestos mining town in Western Australia, located 1,440km north, north east of Perth. Michal worked here for a short time when he arrived in Australia. The town no longer exists and has become synonamous with death due to the effects of asbestos on those who lived and worked there.
