Poland
Poland is the heart of where this story began and continues. Cities and towns that once formed part of Poland, no longer. Cities and towns that have prospered, and those that have stood still in time. Our Poland Gallery shows Poland then and now, in all it's glory.

The elegant city of Warsaw was the birthplace of Krzysztof Lukasik and hometown for Lucyna and Anna and remains the current city of our cousins. This city stores secrets in every corner, and is a delight to visit once you scratch the surface.

Ostrow was home to the Ferenc's and Lucyna when the guards came knocking for deportation in the early hours of a wintery February in 1940. This self sufficient land holding was part of Poland back then, but what is left of it, is now located in Belarus.

Sanok is the largest town near Michal Keller's birthplace in Zahutyn. It is where Michal worked before the outbreak of WWII and is home to an insightful open air museum which pays homage to the era in which Michal and his family lived.

Birth place of Michal Keller. This is where Michal lived until WWII broke out.

Hometown of the Kaczynska's, Makow Mazowiecki is where our Polish story begins.

Wilno, now Vilnius and the capital of Lithuania, was in Polish hands when Krzysztof was arrested.
